New Bass Guitar
I bought this bass yesterday. It's an Epiphone Viola (aka Paul McCartney wannabe) bass...
It's just so beautiful! It's so light, so easy to play, and has this tremendous warm tone. Everyone is quick to note that it's "no good for playing punk rock," but at 250 bones, I still just couldn't resist!
To me (as a non-bassist!), this is the kind of bass I could just sit around and play for hours.

Did you get an instrument or a cigar?
Yo Pete, your cousin Lauren just bought her dad an acoustic bass git-fiddle for about $350. (She never spends her conbat pay on herself, so she's got a lot of dough saved up.) Uncle Paul says it's about the same size as his 12 string, but the neck is about an inch too long to fit into the old case for the 12. Also, it has pick-ups, so it's electric if he wants it to be. On another front, I'm trying to see if I can get out to the show on the 14th.
